In 1999, when restaurateur Jonathan Morr opened Townhouse Hotel in Miami Beach, he brought his Manhattan hot spot, the sushi boite BONDST, with him. And, to keep the brand authentic, Jennie Yip as developing partner. Designer India Mahdavi joined in and brightened up the hotel’s sultry basement with her signature flowered furniture and baby blue walls.
Soon BONDST’s sumptious sushi & sake fare in a speakeasy setting was a hit with locals and celebs. It was the “Best Sushi Date Place” on Miami Beach.
