Afifa Nayeb always dreamed of owning her own restaurant. So, in 2018 she left her corporate job in Dallas and studied to be a chef at Le Cordon Bleu. A native of Afghanistan, Afifa found a gap in the city’s culinary scene for her first venture. Her niche — introducing authentic Indian food to locals at the Dallas Farmers Market.
Once teamed with Jennie Yip/Jenjuice Hospitality, 8 Cloves Indian came to life — from food-hall-kiosk design, brand/logo/menu design, packaging, website to nuts-and-bolts operational planning.Through vivid storytelling, JH captured Chef Afifa’s unique vision and made her dream enterprise a growing success.
